Designed primarily for flights to Pakistan or Bangladesh, Terminal 2 has virtually no services. You can avail of these at the nearest Terminal 1, a 5-minute shuttle bus ride away.

Internet and wi-fi

Wifi internet access is available free of charge through the ADAC Free Wireless network.

Restaurants

Restaurants and cafes are plentiful before and after security. You'll come across local cheap fast-food joints with shawarma, stylish Irish pubs as well as well-known fast-food joints such as McDonald's, Burger King and Costa Coffees, Starbucks and Lavazza.

Shops and minimarkets

Shops are much more plentiful beyond the security checkpoint. In addition to the classic duty free shops, you'll find mainly upmarket fashion, jewellery and watch shops.

But there are also pharmacies, for example, or WHSmith or Relay newsagents with drinks and snacks. Check the airport website for a list of all the shops.

Luggage storage

Look out for baggage storage in Terminal 1 and in the arrivals hall.

Showers

Showers are located near boarding gates 32 and 37 and are free of charge. Towel and toiletries are available for hire.

ATMs and currency exchange

ATMs are located throughout the airport, both in the arrival halls and at the check-in desks. ATMs are available at HSBC, First Abu Dhabi Bank and ADCB.

Travelex has a monopoly on the operation of the exchange offices here, with very unfavourable rates.

Drinking water

Drinking water dispensers with cold drinking water are always found near the toilets after security check. You can fill your own bottle with any amount of water for free.

You can buy cheap water bottles for 3 aed from many vending machines.

Smoking rooms

You will find a smoking area behind security at all terminals.
