Aberdeen is a major regional airport in the north-east of Scotland. It is located in the village of Dyce about 10 km from the centre of the UK oil industry, the city of Aberdeen.

The Scottish airline Loganair has one of its bases here, as do many mining companies, which transport employees by helicopter to oil platforms in the North Sea.
