Loganair in a nutshell

Embraer 145 at Inverness Airport

Loganair is a small Scottish regional airline based at Glasgow Airport and operating throughout Scotland.

Loganair operates the world' s shortest scheduled air service. It connects the Orkney islands of Westray and Papa Westray, with a distance of 3.2 km as the crow flies between the two airports and a net flight time of just over 2 minutes.

The airline also flies to the island of Barra, which is home to the world's only scheduled airport with no runway. Only small aircraft such as the De Havilland DHC-6 can fly in and land on the beach.

Loganair has nearly 40 aircraft in its fleet, including Embraer 145, De Havilland DHC-6 (Twin Otter), Britten-Norman Islander, ATR42 and ATR72.
