Wizz Air offers one small carry-on bag as standard. Additional baggage and baggage allowances depend on the additional services or more expensive fares selected.
Hand baggage allowance
Every passenger travelling with Wizz Air is entitled to 1 piece of hand luggage free of charge. This baggage is classified as smaller and must be placed under the seat in front of you. The dimensions are as follows:
- 40 x 30 x 20 cm and 10 kg.

Larger hand luggage
Passengers who pay for Wizz Priority or buy tickets on WIZZ Go or WIZZ Plus & Flex are entitled to a second piece of hand luggage. In this case, you can take an extra bag with you with the specified dimensions:
- 55 x 40 x 23 cm and 10 kg.
The Wizz Priority service includes not only 2 hand luggage, but also priority boarding so that you can conveniently place your luggage in the overhead bin.
The service costs around 40 eur per passenger and flight. The specific amount may be lower or higher, depending on the distance of the flight.
An alternative to a second larger carry-on bag is checked baggage up to 10 kg, which works out slightly cheaper.
Checked baggage
On Wizz Air, each passenger can purchase up to 6 checked-in bags. You can choose from the following weight categories:
- 10 kg
- 20 kg
- 26 kg
- 32 kg
Please note, however, that each passenger can carry a maximum of 1 piece of 10 kg luggage or up to 6 pieces of luggage of a different weight category.
The price for a 10 kg bag is around 35 eur per flight. The price for a 20 kg bag is about 60 eur and the price difference between 26 kg and 32 kg baggage is no more than 5 eur. The specific price depends on the length of the route.
The dimensions of the checked baggage must meet the following values: 171 x 149 x 119 cm. Sports equipment such as bicycle, skis, golf bag, etc. can be purchased at a price of approximately 45 eur per flight.
Strollers for children
If you are flying with small children, you are automatically entitled to priority boarding on Wizz Air. You can also check in a pushchair or car seat free of charge.
Every child under 2 years of age is entitled to carry-on baggage measuring 40 x 30 x 20 cm.
The pushchair must be brought to the check-in counter, but you can then take it through security to the aircraft to hand it over to the airport staff. Upon arrival, you can collect the stroller directly from the aircraft or from the baggage claim in the oversized baggage section.
Carriage of animals
With the exception of assistance dogs for the visually impaired, no animals of any kind are allowed on Wizz Air.
