Wizz Air offers online check-in and check-in at the airport. Please note that only online check-in is free.
Online check-in
Every passenger is required to check in. The whole process is simple and only takes a few minutes at most.
On wizzair.com, click on Check-in in the menu, log in and fill in the necessary details.
You will then receive a boarding pass that you can print or save on your phone or tablet. A legible QR code is important.
The whole process can be made even easier with the mobile app (Google Play / App Store).
Online check-in is available 24 hours to 3 hours before departure. In case you also pay for a specific seat on the plane when you buy your ticket, online check-in is available 30 days before departure.
On some flights outside the EU, online check-in may not be possible and you will have to go to the airport counter. Last updated list of airports that do not offer online check-in:
- Agadir
- Marrakech
- Moscow Vnukovo
In this case, check-in at the airport is free of charge.
Check-in at the airport
You can check in at the airport if you have selected WIZZ Go or WIZZ Plus & Flex tickets or paid for the "Check in at the airport" service, which costs 13 eur per passenger.
Airport counters open 2 hours before departure and close 40 minutes before departure. Some airports close counters earlier, 1 hour before departure.
We always recommend you arrive at the airport on time as Wizz Air has shared check-in for several flights and you may not be able to check in if there is a queue. This also applies to those who have online check-in and only go to the airport to check in their checked baggage.
If you don't pay in advance for the "Check-in at the airport" service and are unable to check in online, the airport check-in fee paid on the spot is 40 eur
Seat selection
When checking in online, you can choose a specific seat for a fee, but if you don't want to pay for this service, you can skip it and have a random seat assigned to you for free.
Selecting a specific seat costs between 8 eur and 25 eur depending on the attractiveness of the location and the length of the route.
Beware, however, that Wizz Air will deliberately seat groups of multiple people. If you want to sit together, choose and pay for a specific seat selection or use the Sitting Together from 10 eur per person per flight.
If you are travelling with a child, the system will automatically seat an adult and children next to each other. Children are accepted up to the age of 14.
