Carry-on baggage

You can always take 1 piece of cabin baggage measuring 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm and 1 small personal item, which must fit under the seat in front of you and whose dimensions are not specified, but must be one of the following items, free of charge:

• Handbag
• Laptop in a thin case
• Camera
• Coat
• Small plastic bag from the airport shop

The combined weight of both pieces of luggage must not exceed 7 kg.

The weight and dimensions of hand luggage are checked very frequently!

Checked baggage

The number and weight of free checked baggage depends on the fare purchased.

• Starter - No checked baggage included
  • If you don't need additional services, it is worth selecting this fare and adding your baggage in the next step
• Starter Plus - Any number of bags, up to 20 kg cumulative weight
• Flex - No checked baggage included
  • If you do not need additional services, it is worth selecting this tariff and adding the baggage in the next step
• Flex Plus - Any number of bags, cumulative weight up to 30 kg

You can add additional baggage to all tariffs.

• For domestic flights, prices range from 29 aud for 15 kg to 62 aud for 40 kg.
• For international flights, prices range from 51 aud for 20 kg to 104 aud for 40 kg.

Overweight charges

If you arrive at the airport with luggage that is heavier than your purchased baggage, you will not avoid paying fees.

Jetstar is a strict airline in this respect and the weight must not exceed 1 kilogram.

It costs more than twice as much to check in one piece of luggage up to 15kg at the airport than if you bought it online.

Overweight is always charged per extra kilogram from 20 aud on domestic flights and from 30 aud on international flights.
