IndiGo check-in

IndiGo, Airbus A320, Mumbai Airport

IndiGo is one of the carriers that allow free check-in at the airport.

Check-in at the airport

Check-in at the airport check-in counter is free of any additional charge for Indigo.

Counter opening and closing times are as follows:

  • International flights - 4 hours to 75 minutes before departure (for departures from airports outside India, less than 4 hours - approx. 3 hours)
  • Domestic flights - 2 hours to 60 minutes before departure

At selected airports, you can check-in via a self-service kiosk, which allows you to avoid queues if you are travelling with hand luggage only.

At Indian airports, you can only go through security and passport control when check-in for your flight starts, which is no later than 4 hours before an international flight and 3 hours before a domestic flight. You will not be allowed through immigration before then.

Online check-in

You can check in online in the comfort of your home 48 hours to 60 minutes before your flight via goindigo.in/web-check-in.

Online check-in is also available via the IndiGo mobile app (Google Play / App Store), where you enter your booking number and present a QR code on your mobile at the airport.

If you are travelling with hand luggage only, you do not need to visit the airport counter at all in this case. Proceed straight to security and passport control.

Selecting a seat (seating)

Do you want a window seat or, on a long flight, do you prefer an aisle seat so you can stretch out undisturbed at any time?

The cheapest "Saver" fare does not include seat selection. You can select your seat when you book your ticket from 350 inr, but this is not worthwhile, because the second cheapest fare "Flexi Plus" already includes a free seat selection. The price difference between the "Saver" and "FlexiPlus" fares is always less than the seat selection fee.
