The national airline of Bulgaria is a rather minor airline in the European context.

From its main hub at Sofia Airport, SOF flies to around 20 major European cities. From Varna VAR and Burgas BOJ also flies seasonal scheduled and charter flights targeting sea-bound travellers to Bulgaria.

Bulgaria Air operates a fleet of around 14 Airbus A220, Airbus A320 and Embraer E190 aircraft, easily recognisable by the Bulgarian tricolour on the tail.
