Avianca is the second oldest airline in the world after KLM and one of the largest airlines in Latin America.
It is headquartered at Bogota Airport in Colombia, but has established subsidiaries operating under the same name in Peru, Costa Rica and Ecuador.
Avianca operates a fleet of more than 120 modern Airbus A32S and Boeing 787 aircraft and is part of the global Star Alliance.
The airline is split into several different companies that use different IATA and ICAO codes than the parent Avianca (AV/AVA), but for passengers it is always the same company with a single website and terms and conditions.
- Avianca Costa Rica (LR/LRC)
- Avianca Ecuador (2K/GLG)
- Avianca El Salvador (TA/TAI)
- Avianca Guatemala (GU/GUG)
