Air Canada allows you to check in at the airport without a fee.

Check-in counters open 4 hours before departure as standard and close 60 minutes before departure.

The departure gate usually closes 15 minutes before departure time.

Online check-in

You can check in online 24 hours before departure as standard.

You can check in online at aircanada.com or via the Air Canada mobile app.

If you can't check in online, you can check in at the airport without any problems.

Seat selection (seating)

With a Basic or Standard fare ticket, you will pay a fee to select a specific seat. This varies according to the length of the route and ranges between 30 usd and 50 usd.

If you do not want to pay for a specific seat, you will be allocated a random seat for free.

On the more expensive Economy, Premium Economy or Business fares, you can choose a specific seat for free.
