You can also spend your holiday in Krabi actively. A great half-day trip is to climb Dragon Ridge Mountain, from which you can enjoy the most beautiful views of the limestone formations and Phang Nga Bay. The trail also winds through the jungles of the national park, so you can enjoy the dense tropical vegetation and the unique life among its branches.

The mountain is known as Hang Nak Peak in Thai and is located in the Hat Noppharat Thara - Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. The climb up is less than 4 kilometres long and you will climb an elevation gain of approximately 500 metres.

Entrance fees and opening hours
As Dragon's Crest Mountain is located in a national park, foreigners have to pay an entrance fee 200 thb, locals then 40 thb.
You need to register at the parking lot at the trailhead for safety reasons and also to report your return. Officially you are only allowed to hike from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, as later would require a return in the dark and this is not considered safe.

There is no accommodation on offer directly in the national park, but you can choose from one of the beach hotels in the immediate area, particularly at Tubakek Beach.

Transportation to Dragon's Crest mountain
There is no public transport to Dragon's Crest mountain, so you can get here by rented scooter, rental car or by taxi or tricycle.
There is a small parking lot right at the trailhead where there is plenty of space in the morning, but parking can be a problem later in the day.
