Los Cristianos is the largest of the three famous beach resorts on the southern tip of Tenerife (the others being Playa de las Américas and Costa Adeje). The town of Los Cristianos is the unwritten king of the Canarian resorts, with over 20,000 permanent residents, so it doesn't feel austere and artificial and is alive all year round.

On the streets of the centre you can enjoy a shopping spree, while on the promenades great food in the restaurants and drinks in the bars that stay open late into the night.

You can climb the local 103-metre-high peak of Montaña Chayofita for a view of the whole resort and the sea. The walk from the centre is about 1 km.

Beaches and swimming

Visitors will find 3 man-made and well-kept beaches, all with full facilities. You can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, refresh yourself in the many restaurants or bars, use the free toilets, changing rooms and showers or hire a pedalo.

All three beaches are within 5 minutes walking distance of the town centre and all have fine golden sand.

Playa de las Vistas - the largest beach located right in the centre with a wide promenade and many restaurants, it is about 600 metres long and 70 metres wide
Playa de los Cristianos - separated from the beach de las Vistas by the local harbour. This beach is also large with all the facilities, it is 200 metres long and about 80 metres wide.
Playa del Camisón - the westernmost of the beaches is sheltered from the outside world by a low mound and a belt of palm trees. It belongs to the quieter beaches and is ideal for families with children
