Where to stay in Malaga

Málaga

Going on holiday to Málaga? See which locations and cities are the best, cheapest and most practical for accommodation in Málaga.

Where to stay in Málaga

Málaga is a fairly large city and with a not-so-connected public transport system, it definitely pays to put some thought into where you stay.

The best location with the most to offer is definitely the historic centre, where you can walk to the vast majority of Malaga's sights and attractions within 15 minutes. Prices in the centre aren't inflated, but thanks to the high competition in the centre, you can find some really interesting deals.

If you prefer to stay by the sea, then the best place is the La Malagueta district with its famous beach of the same name. However, hotel prices here are the highest in the whole of Málaga. An alternative is the more distant Carretera de Cádiz, which stretches along Misericordia beach.

Tips for the best hotels in Malaga

If you don't feel like spending time looking for the best deals, we've selected the best hotels for you in several categories.

Hotel prices in Malaga

The lines above show that smaller hotels can be found in Málaga from about 44 eur per night for 2, private apartments sometimes even below 37 eur. Standard 3* hotels then offer a night in a room from about 92 eur.

Large differences in prices can be observed according to the seasons. While during the summer holidays prices rise by about 15%, during the winter you will have no problem finding even a better quality hotel around 62 eur.
