Lotte World Tower is part of a huge shopping mall, and the observation deck on the 120th to 123rd floors is one of the most popular tourist spots in Seoul.
The height of the tower and the viewpoint
Completed in 2016, Lotte World Tower is the tallest building in South Korea and the 6th tallest in the world at 554.5 meters. Lotte World hosts a shopping mall, offices, luxury apartments, hotel, restaurants 3 observation floors of Seoul Sky.
The main observation deck is located at 497 meters, the 3rd highest in the world for an observation deck.
You will enjoy a 360 degree view mostly indoor glass. There are two outdoor galleries on the top 123rd floor (open only from April to October), but these are also obstructed by thick glass.
Two fast lifts take you to the observation deck in about 2 minutes.
At busy times around sunset and throughout the day on weekends, expect a queue for the lift of around 30 to 40 minutes and a very crowded viewing area where it will be a serious problem to make your way to the glass for at least a few photos.

Better view from Lotte World or N Seoul Tower?
These two towers are two of Seoul's most famous landmarks and popular sightseeing spots. Which one is better? Subjectively, we have to say that we liked the view from the top of Namsan, where N Seoul Tower stands, better. Downtown Seoul is closer from here, the observatory on the tower is more spacious and not as crowded. Last but not least, N Seoul Tower has a significantly cheaper entrance fee.
In addition, there are some very nice views on Namsan Hill without having to go up the tower at all.
In contrast, Lotte World Tower has the advantage of easier accessibility and a nicer view of the river. However, the places with the best views of the river tend to be literally packed with crowds.
The popular attraction, the glowing N Seoul Tower, is virtually invisible from Lotte World. It's so far away that you need a camera with a good telephoto lens to capture the glowing Namsan Tower.
