Orizuru Tower is a modern building located directly above the atomic bomb drop memorial sites such as the A-Bomb Dome.
From the top floor observation deck at 50 metres, it offers the best views of the Peace Memorial Park, the present-day city and the forested mountains in the background.

While the open, spacious observation deck provides great views, it's covered entirely by a mesh screen so it's difficult to take a good photo from here.
One floor below, however, it is possible to take better photos from the glassed-in observation deck.
Fold your paper crane
The crane bird has a privileged position in Japanese mythology. It is believed to live for 1,000 years and grant human desires and wishes.
On the second top floor you can fold your origami paper crane, write a message on it and throw it into the glass Orizuru Wall.
Admission and opening hours
The observation deck is open every day from 10:00-18:00.
The ticket price for adults is 2 200 jpy.
