A beautiful palace with a garden in the middle of the city makes your walk in Paris a pleasant one. It was built in the 17th century as a royal residence for Louis XIII's mother. Marie de Medici. In 1958, the building became the seat of the French Senate.
As part of the palace, the garden was not to be missed and today it has become a very popular resting place not only for locals. Here you will find grassy areas with a water reservoir, flower beds, statues and the famous and beautiful Medici fountain.

Jardin du Luxembourg
Over 22 hectares in size, the garden is a favourite spot for Parisians and tourists alike and, in contrast to the palace, is open to all.
The neatly landscaped beds of geometric shapes beckon you to relax and take in the city as you walk around all day. The Luxembourg Gardens, although a little removed from the centre, is one of the most beautiful and popular places to relax.
The garden is free to the public and is open daily from 8:00 am and closes between 4:30 pm and 9:30 pm depending on the season (i.e. dusk).

How to get there
