Tokyo Narita Airport is a huge hub with all-night traffic. Where is the best place to stay?
Sleeping in the terminal - opening hours
All terminals at Narita Airport are open 24/7.
Overnight stays inside the terminal are allowed without any checks or problems.
Terminal 1 is definitely the most comfortable for a free night's sleep, with many comfortable seats and carpeted floors. Terminal 1 is not too busy at night and therefore you will find plenty of quiet places.
Nap Rooms
A more comfortable option is the sleeping rooms located in Terminals 1 and 2.
You will have a small hotel-style room with a shared toilet and shower.
There is an hourly rate per bed. However, you can only use this service during the day.
- 1 560 jpy for the first hour, then 780 jpy for each additional hour (Single Room)
- 2 520 jpy for the first hour, then 1 260 jpy for each additional hour (Twin Room)
Hotels near the airport
Of course, the most comfortable overnight stay will be in classic hotels, of which there are several in the vicinity of Narita Airport.
- Narita Airport Rest House ** - a 5-minute walk to Terminal 1, 10-15 minutes to Terminal 2/3, but the hotel also offers a free shuttle.
- 9h nine hours Narita Airport - capsule hotel near terminal 2, but the value for money is very poor. On the other hand, the location with a walking distance of 2 minutes to terminal 2 is great.
- Narita Tobu Hotel Airport **** - 1,5 km from the airport, free hotel transfer
- Hotel Nikko Narita **** - 2 km from the airport, free hotel transfer
- Marroad International Hotel Narita *** - 2 km from the airport, free hotel transfer, great value for money
Hotels in the centre
If you'll be departing from Narita Airport at a convenient time of day, stay in central Tokyo, where there's no shortage of small hostels and international luxury hotels on offer.
