The small Bromma airport was very popular with business travellers and those travelling by plane for shorter distances to domestic Swedish destinations.
In fact, the terminal is located right in town and only 9 km from the centre of Gamla Stan.
Due to strict noise limits and the limited size of the airport due to the surrounding development, operations are limited to smaller ATR or at most Airbus A319 aircraft.
With the closure of BRA's scheduled flights, Bromma Airport has lost virtually all scheduled traffic. Currently only the small regional airline Nyxair from Trollhättan, Sweden, flies to the airport.
