Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are interconnected by landside and airside buildings. Terminal 4 is located in a separate building approximately 1.5 km south of Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
The airport area is large, but very well signposted and Singapore's airport is one of the most well laid out in the world in its category.

In total, Changi Airport consists of 4 terminals and the central JEWEL building.

Transfer between flights
The minimum time for a seamless transfer within one flight is 45 minutes. If you are making a transfer on your own from two separate bookings, ideally allow 3 hours or more for the transfer.
How do I transfer at Singapore Airport?
- When you get off the plane, follow the signs "Transfer"
- Look for the departure gate number on the departure board
- Go through transit security
The transfer is very well signposted and organised, and the only obstacle may be the longer distances between terminals. However, in most cases you will only be transferring within one terminal or between terminals 2 and 3, which are right next to each other.
Moving between terminals
To transfer between terminals, use the following options.
- On foot, using mobile travelators
- Terminal 1 <-> Terminal 2: time 15-20 minutes (transfer possible via public and transit zone)
- Terminal 2 <-> Terminal 3: time 5-20 minutes (transfer possible via public and transit zone)
- Terminal 2 <-> Terminal 3: time 5 minutes (for transfer via public area), 35 minutes (for transfer via transit area - must go via Terminal 1)
- Automatic SkyTrain
- Between terminals 1, 2 and 3: runs through transit and public area, travel time from 2 to 10 minutes, frequency 2-6 minutes, free ride
- Between terminals 2 and 3: runs only in the public area, travel time from 2 to 5 minutes, frequency 2-6 minutes, free ride
- SkyTrain runs 4:30-1:30
- Shuttle bus
- Terminal 4 <-> Terminal 1 / JEWEL building
- Terminal 4 <-> Terminal 2 / Subway Station
- Both lines run only on the public part
- Frequency 10-25 minutes, the ride is free

Free city tour
During transfers longer than 5.5 hours, take advantage of free organised city tours.
The tour lasts 2.5 hours and runs 9 times a day. Registration takes place one hour prior to departure at the Free Singapore Tours booths in Terminal 2 and 3.
