Buses offer the cheapest way to travel, but due to the low frequency of connections, local taxi companies (private transfers) offer the best value for money. The Grab mobile app offers a hassle-free journey.

Grab

The Grab journey is probably the easiest for travellers who normally use taxi mobile apps.

The price to downtown Siem Reap is around KHR 121 ,600 and if you are not travelling with large luggage, you can also opt for an extremely uncomfortable and very long (75 to 90 minutes) tuk tuk ride, which can be booked through Grab for around 63 000 khr.

Taxi

At the airport, order an official taxi at the taxi stand outside the arrivals hall.

Prices to anywhere within Siem Reap are fixed:

• 35 USD (140,000 riel) - car for up to 4 people.
• 40 usd (160,000 riel) - minivan for up to 8 people

Payment can be made in cash only, both in Cambodian riel and US dollars without any problem.

Airport bus

An official airport bus runs to the terminal. No local public transport buses run to the airport.

Buses in the direction of the airport stop at 3 stops in Siem Reap, but in the direction of the airport they only leave from the central stop at CDF Angkor Duty Free.

Several local taxi services also offer transport to the airport from Siem Reap. Prices are lower than the official airport taxis and even slightly lower than the Grab mobile app.
