Las Américas Airport in Santo Domingo uses only one terminal common to all departures and arrivals.
The building is relatively small and the airport very clear. The ground floor (referred to as Level 1) is where arrivals are located and Level 2 is where the check-in desks and security checkpoint are located.
The terminal has been modernised and you can walk through the entire terminal in 10 minutes.
Checkpoints here are efficient and long queues don't usually form even at the immigration interview after arrival (usually 10 to 30 minutes).

Transfer between flights
Santo Domingo is a regionally important transfer hub thanks to Sky High Dominicana and AraJet airlines, which are based here and also offer connecting flights.
Transferring between flights here is very easy and quick.
Watch for the "Transfer Passengers" signs when you get off the plane. Just before immigration, turn right at the security checkpoint, where lines rarely form for more than 5 minutes.
After that you will be in the departure gate area.
The airport has only one building, so there are no transfers between terminals.
It usually takes around 10-25 minutes to get from plane to plane.
