Roatan Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport in a nutshell

Roatan

Juan Manuel Gálvez Airport is the second busiest airport in Honduras and is located on the popular holiday island of Roatan, just 1 km from the village of Roatán.

The local airport serves as a major port for flights mainly from the USA and thanks to it, tourism on the island continues to flourish. All major airlines such as United, Delta and American Airlines fly to Roatán from American cities.

Local smaller airlines connect Roatán with mainland Honduras.

The only terminal is outdated and small. Especially on Saturdays, when most flights arrive, it is very congested and we recommend arriving at least 2.5 hours before your flight. There are long queues and the check-in process is generally quite slow. The terminal closes overnight and it is not possible to stay overnight.
