ATMs and currency exchange

ATMs from 7 Bank or Lawson, where foreign credit cards work seamlessly, can be found in the arrival halls of both Terminals 1 and 2.

The fee for withdrawals over ¥20,000 is 220 jpy. If you withdraw less than ¥20,000, you will only pay 110 jpy.

You can use the automated exchange offices and manned branches in the arrival halls of both Terminals 1 and 2.

Luggage storage

Automated luggage lockers are located in several locations in both Terminal 1 and 2 and are accessible 24/7.

For storage within 24 hours, pay between 400 jpy and 600 jpy depending on the size of the locker.

There is also a traditional manned baggage room in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1, open 6:30-22:30. You can pay for storage here between 500 jpy and 1 200 jpy depending on the size of your luggage.

In both cases you can pay by card and cash.

Shops and supermarket

At the airport you will find many mini-markets such as Lawson or Family Mart where you can buy a quick takeaway.

  • Terminal 1 - Family Mart, public area, at check-in desks, 24/7
  • Terminal 1 - Lawson, after security, domestic departures, 7:00-22:00

  • Terminal 2 - Lawson, public area, at check-in desks for domestic flights, 24/7

After passing through security in the international section of both terminals 1 and 2, there are several shops duty free and many more shops selling fashion, jewelry or souvenirs. In the domestic section you will only find a small mini-market with takeaway snacks (sandwiches, drinks, etc.).

Dining options

There is a significantly larger selection of restaurants in the public area.

There are only 1-2 restaurants after passing through security in the domestic sections of both terminals. The international transit area of Terminal 1 has about 15 mostly more expensive restaurants, while there are only 3 restaurants in the international area of Terminal 2.

Opening hours for most restaurants are usually 6:30-0:00, but some restaurants close as early as 22:00.

Only these branches remain open 24/7:

  • Sukiya, Japanese Restaurant - Terminal 1, Public Area, Level 2
  • Zetteria, fast-food - Terminal 1, public area, Aero Plaza / Hotel Nikko
  • Nakau, Japanese restaurant - Terminal 1, public area, Aero Plaza / Hotel Nikko
  • McDonald's - Terminal 1, public area, Level 2

Luggage wrapping

A baggage wrapping service is available on the departures floor of Terminal 1 (07:00-22:00). This service is currently not available in Terminal 2.

The price per bag varies between 1 500 jpy and 2 000 jpy depending on the size.

Showers

Public showers are available at two locations:

  • Terminal 1 - after security check, international departures, open according to the current flight schedule.
    • 800 jpy / 15 minutes
  • Terminal 1 - public area, Aero Plaza, KIX Airport Café Lounge
    • 1 200 jpy / 40 minutes

Smoking rooms

Smoking rooms are available in many areas of both terminals after security check.
