City bus 34 runs to the terminal for 80 dinars, and taxis are also available.
Bus 34
Public transport is provided by bus line number 34. The line is a circular route, so it has two route options: 34A (faster for the journey from the airport) and 34B (faster for the journey to the airport).
Buses run approximately every 20 to 40 minutes from about 5:50 to 22:00. A detailed timetable can be found on the official website (in Serbian only): jgpnis.rs/red-voznje. The exact departure times can also be found on the Gradski Prevoz Niš mobile app (only on Google Play).
Ticket valid for 1 ride costs 80 rsd and is payable to the conductor inside the bus in cash only.
Taxi
The well-known mobile apps like Uber or Bolt don't work in Niš, but there are always plenty of regular taxis outside the terminal.
Prices from the airport to the centre are flat and cost about 850 rsd.
Car rental
There are several car rental counters in the arrivals hall, allowing you to head out to explore the Serbian countryside and mountains, where public transport is not very busy.
Prices for 4-day rentals start at 60 eur.
You can rent a car at Niš Airport from Avis, Budget, Hertz, Alamo, Sixt or Firefly, to name a few.
The new terminal began serving departures on 24 July 2024. We arrived on 28 September at the old one, which is still used for arrivals. However, the car rental, ATM and toilets are already in the new terminal if you need any of that after you arrive. There is also an IQOS kiosk, the only one still open, contrary to the information. :D This time, however, we withdrew 10,000 RSD from the ATM at the airport with a 400 RSD fee to the local bank. Taxi drivers were bothering everywhere, but not too much. The bus stop was unmarked across 2 roads from the terminal (after the exit opposite) - it's like 2 booths next to each other with no signs, posters, timetables... But! Niš now has its own public transport app and there, as well as on Google Maps you can see the timetables. Taxi from the airport worked Yandex, the price was 420 RSD, but by the time we got off the plane the taxi had disappeared. So, yes, a bus ticket for 80 RSD. :)
On our flight the next day to Belgrade ($17 USD with AirSerbia - available twice a week on all dates for the same price - either 4:30am A319 or around 10am ATR72) they didn't start letting us into the check-in area until about an hour before departure. So, nothing has changed here. There is still Duty Free in the terminal and their prices are in EUR, where they wouldn't even sell us water (for €1.70). Probably because we were flying domestically?
Any other app than the one mentioned in the text?
