Getting from Newcastle New South Wales Airport (NTL) to city centre

Newcastle-Williamstown Airport is not connected to rail or trams, but Transport NSW buses provide quick access to the city centre.

The city bus stop is right outside the arrivals terminal.

Bus routes 130, 131, 138 run to the airport from Newcastle Interchange Central Bus Station.

You can only pay fares with your own contactless card, which can be used on all transport throughout New South Wales.

Fares to the airport are higher than fares to other stations. There is a surcharge for drop-off/pick-up at airport stations.

The price varies according to the time of day. The following periods are counted as Peak Hours Monday to Thursday: 6:30-10:00 and 15:00-19:00.

Fridays, weekends and public holidays count as off-peak all day.
