A new terminal is currently under construction and will be operational in 2026, but will be directly adjacent to the current building.

Newcastle is not a typical transfer airport and does not currently have direct transit facilities.

Passengers must always exit the transit area, collect their luggage, re-check in and go through security to get back to the departure gates.
