Although there is a regular bus service to the terminal, the most convenient option covering all departures with a guarantee of catching the plane is a transfer operated by Skybus.
Skybus Transfer
Special shuttle vans run to and from every Isles of Scilly Skybus departure and arrival.
All services start at Penzance Station, where they stop just outside the exit of the building at the taxi rank (location on google.com/maps).
Transfers leave once an hour and the journey from Penaznce station to the airport takes about 20 minutes.
Detailed departure times can be found on the official website: islesofscilly-travel.co.uk/bus-transfers.
Transfers must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. The best option is to add the transfer when you buy your ticket at islesofscilly-travel.co.uk/book. Tickets cannot be purchased on the spot.
Prices:
- One way transfer - 6 gbp
- Return transfer - 11 gbp
Land's End Coaster bus
The regular Land's End Coaster tourist bus also stops at the airport terminal. Unlike the Skybus transfers, these buses do not serve all flights as the service does not run until approximately 9:15am.
Land's End Coaster can be a good connection when travelling not only from Penzance but also from the resort of St. Ives.
The first departures to be reached by Land's End Coaster bus are not until approximately 10:30am.
Prices:
- One way ticket - 5 gbp
- All day for all services around Penzance - 7 gbp
