One of the smallest airports in the UK serves one purpose. There are up to several flights an hour to the Isles of Scilly, less than 50km from the mainland.
The airport is named after the rocky headland Land's End, the most south-westerly point in the whole of the UK.
A small regional airline is based here Isles of Scilly Skybus. Currently, Land's End Airport operates a single service to St. Mary's, the largest island in the Isles of Scilly.
