The most convenient transport is the popular mobile apps Uber or Ola, as well as regular taxis with prices between Rs 1,100 and Rs 2,000. The journey to the city centre takes between 40 and 90 minutes.
There's also an airport shuttle bus service for Rs 80 to the nearest metro station. Further into the city centre you can take the metro for 50 rupees and the total journey will take around 70 minutes.
Taxi / Uber / Ola
Taxi is the most convenient and most used mode of transport to downtown Cochin.
You prepay for official taxis at the arrival hall and pay nothing to the taxi driver after that.
The mobile apps Uber or Ola, available at both terminals, will usually offer lower prices.

Public transport - bus
Cochin city centre can be reached by a combination of bus and metro.
The bus stop is between the terminals and is clearly marked.
The shuttle bus will take you to the Aluva metro terminus. Fares can be paid in cash or with your own contactless card at the driver.

- Last bus from the airport - 23:00 (the last 3 buses do not connect to the metro, which departs from Aluva station at 22:30!)

The metro continues from Aluva station all the way to the centre of Kochi. You can pay the metro fare at the ticket counter in cash or you can pay directly with your own contactless card by swiping it at the reader at the turnstile.
