Inverness Airport is served by a very small and uncluttered terminal common to all flights.

While security queues can take up to 20 minutes at some parts of the day, you can otherwise walk through the terminal in 2 minutes, so you only need to arrive at the airport 60 minutes before your flight.

Transfer between flights

Inverness is not a frequent transfer point. This is also why the airport does not have a direct transit option.

On arrival, you will always go through a special corridor to the baggage belts and on to the public area and if you want to change planes, you will have to check in again and go through security again.

Overnight in the terminal - opening hours

Inverness Airport closes for the night, always about 30 minutes after the last arrival.

The terminal opens approximately 2.5 hours before the first morning departure and therefore you cannot spend the night inside the airport concourse.
