Otherwise, get a data e-sim quickly and easily at airalo.com.

Restaurants

Restaurants and cafes are in the public area and behind security checkpoints. These tend to be smaller local eateries and, especially in the summer months, waiting times for food are in the tens of minutes.

There is one café with a bakery in the public area. After the security check, there are only two branches of the popular Greek fast-food Everest with a wide selection of sandwiches and coffee and one typical Greek snack bar.

Shops and supermarkets

In the departure hall of the public area you will find a small mini-market with drinks and snacks, as well as a souvenir shop.

After the security check, there is a large duty free shop with cosmetics, perfumes, cigarettes, alcohol or sweets. There are no other shops at Heraklion Airport.

ATMs and exchange offices

A currency exchange office with unfavourable exchange rates can be found at the baggage claim in the arrivals hall.

Use the regular ATMs just outside on the left just past the exit from the arrivals hall.

Withdrawal fees are as follows:

  • Alpha Bank - 2,50 eur
  • National Bank (I-Bank) - 2,60 eur
  • Pireaue Bank - 3 eur

Luggage storage

The luggage room is located in a small building next to the bus stop and is only open from 9:00 to 17:00. For all-day service, pay 5 eur.
