The small international airport is located on the island of Karmøy, about 13 km from the centre of Haugesund, Norway.
If you can get a cheap flight to Haugesund, it can also be a good starting point for a drive to the famous Preikestolen viewpoint (113 km). However, the much larger Stavanger SVG airport is closer to this viewpoint.
Haugesund is served up to 8 times a day by SAS and Norwegian airlines together on the route to Oslo. The regional airline Wideroe also flies several times a day to Bergen.
Cheap low-cost tickets can be purchased on Wizz Air's website to Gdansk, Poland, for example.
Rent a car at the airport - compare prices
A single small terminal gives you no chance to wander. The check-in process is quick and you only need to arrive at the airport 75 minutes before your flight.
