North Cyprus' only airport, named after military pilot Fehmi Ercan, is located 24 km from the capital Lefkosa.
Due to the international non-recognition of the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus, only flights from Turkish cities go to Lefkosa, but they are very frequent. For example, flights to Istanbul fly up to twice an hour.

Ercan Airport has a single single-storey terminal from which all international flights (i.e. currently only to Turkey) are handled.
In some flight search engines you will come across the name "Lefkosa" or "Nicosia", but the predominant name for the airport is "Ercan".
