Alberta's second largest airport is located 26 km southwest of the capital city of Edmonton.

The airport serves as a major departure point for flights to northern regions of Canada, as well as for travel to national parks. Westjet has a major base at the airport.

Most flights are domestic or to the USA. There are also direct flights from Edmonton to Amsterdam, Frankfurt and many Caribbean summer destinations.
