From Chongqing Airport to the city centre, there are two metro lines 6 cny with a journey time of 35 minutes or the K01 bus 15 cny with a journey time of 65 minutes.
Metro
There are two Chongqing metro lines to Jiangbei Airport. Both metro lines stop at the North Railway Station, where you can transfer to long-distance express trains across China.

- Line 3 - takes a slightly longer route to the city centre than Line 10 and only stops at terminals 2A/2B.

You can pay the fare at the machine in cash, via the AliPay / WeChat mobile app by scanning the QR-Code, but also with an international Visa or MasterCard.
Express bus
A special K01 airport express bus runs to the central part of the city with a terminus at the Liberation Monument and stops at the California Garden, Auditorium, Shanqing Temple and the Grand Temple.
The bus runs every 30 minutes from 5:30am (in the direction of downtown). From the airport to the city centre, the last bus leaves 30 minutes after the last scheduled arrival.
The journey to the centre takes 65 minutes and the ticket costs 15 cny.
Taxi
There are a huge number of official taxis at Jiangbei Airport, yet you can spend upwards of 45 minutes in the taxi queue, especially during the evening arrivals rush.
Taxis can be paid for via the likes of Alipay or WeChat or in cash.
It's always a good idea to have the address in Chinese ready on your mobile phone to show the kiosk and possibly the driver when ordering a taxi.
The price is always calculated by the taximeter and you will pay about 100 cny to 120 cny to downtown Chongqing depending on the specific destination and time of day/night.
