Chambery Airport in a nutshell

Val Thorens

Chambéry Airport is located 11 km from the town of the same name and about 100 km (about 2 hours' drive) from the world-famous ski resorts of the Trois Vallés.

And skiing is the activity that brings flight traffic to Chambéry Airport. Regular and charter flights from skiers fly here from December to April, mainly from the UK.

No year-round service flies to Chambéry.

The single terminal is very small and therefore uncluttered. Especially at weekends, when the airport is at its cleanest, be prepared for a shortage of seats. Check-in queues can be as long as 60 minutes.

There are also other airports in the Chambéry area.

  • Geneva GVA (88 km) - a large international airport with year-round operations
  • Grenoble GNB (90 km) - small airport with predominantly winter charter flights
  • Lyon LYS (97 km) - large international airport with year-round operations
