DART mobile app
The DART mobile app offers the best value for money and is usually cheaper than regular taxis.
DART works very similarly to Grab, Bolt, Uber or Lyft, except that you can't pay directly with a stored credit card.
You can charge DART with your own amount to your DART wallet, which will be gradually deducted from the fare.
The other option is to pay in cash. You always pay the amount you see in the app when you order your car. Tipping is not customary here.
The price to the centre of Bandar Seri Begawan varies between 11 bnd and 12,50 bnd depending on the current demand.

Upon exiting the airport building, you will see a counter in front of you to order a taxi. Just before it, turn right towards the P2 parking lot.

On the way to the airport, the driver will drop you off right in front of the departure terminal.
Taxi
Regular taxis have a counter immediately after exiting the arrivals hall.
You book and pay for your ride at this counter. You can only pay in cash.
When travelling to the airport, you pay the fare directly to the driver.
There are always plenty of taxis waiting at the airport, but we recommend booking a taxi through your hotel or using the DART mobile app when travelling to the airport. There are not many taxis on the streets of Bandar Seri Begawan, especially not in the early morning hours.

On average, you will pay around 50 % for a trip to the centre of Brunei Hotel 13 bnd during daylight hours or 18 bnd at night.

Public transport to the airport is provided by several bus routes. They all run to the main bus stop in the city centre, just on a slightly different route.
The downtown stop is located near the Brunei Hotel on Kianggeh Street and is referred to as "BSB Bus Station" (see map).
From the centre of Bandar Seri Begawan to the airport, use bus routes 23, 24, 34, 36, 38. You can find a list of bus stops on the Transport BN mobile app.
The timetable is nowhere to be found, neither on the website nor at the bus stop. Usually there is a bus from downtown to the airport 1-2 times per hour.
Bus hours are 6:00am to 8:00pm, but the last buses from the airport to downtown usually run between 6:30pm and 7:00pm.
The fare is payable to the driver on alighting and is 1 bnd. Payment can only be made in cash.
