ATMs and currency exchange
In the public area of the arrivals hall, you'll find an exchange office with a relatively good exchange rate.
In addition, there are three ATMs of local Brunei banks. For example, you can withdraw your Revolut card at a BBID ATM at no charge.
On the other hand, the exchange office in the departure area has a significantly unfavourable exchange rate, so it pays to spend as much Brunei dollars as possible.
Dining options
Restaurants, fast-food outlets and cafes are relatively plentiful at the airport.
Public area, arrivals
- KFC (07:00-23:00)
- Jollibee (8:00-22:00)
Public section, departures

After the security check, the dining options are quite limited and you will find only two cafes, both on the first floor:
- The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (6am-10pm)
- Starbucks (7:30am-8pm)
Shops and supermarket
There is no conventional grocery store at Brunei Airport. There are only shops for local mobile phone operators in the arrivals hall.
In the departure area after security there are a few shops selling cosmetics, drugstores or souvenirs. However, shopping options are quite limited and prices are very high.
Rest areas
After passing through security, you will find many comfortable chairs or loungers scattered around the terminal, accessible to all passengers free of charge.
In addition, there is the possibility to sleep in the day rooms with full-size beds in the basement, see the Terminal section.
Drinking water
Free hot and cold drinking water dispensers are located in several places in the transit zone.
Luggage storage
Luggage storage and automatic lockers are not available at Bandar Seri Begawan Airport.
Public showers
Two free showers are available near the Nest day rooms in the basement of the transit area.
They are not equipped with towels or soap.
Vending machines
A relatively weak selection of food and beverage vending machines are supplemented by vending machines for drinks and, at Departure Gate 8, sandwiches after security checks.
The prices in these vending machines are very reasonable and everything is sold for 1 bnd or 2 bnd. Payment is cash only.
