The airport is open 24/7 and you can spend the night inside the building.
However, sleeping in the terminal is very uncomfortable. The rooms are quite small and the seats are only metal with armrests, so you can't lie down on them.

There is no hotel or guesthouse right next to the terminal. The nearest accommodations are just a 15-minute walk from the airport towards the village of Birra.

A good selection of quality international hotels and local apartments can also be found in the centre of Bologna, where public transport runs throughout the night.
A night bus service runs to Bologna Centrale Station, which is therefore the most strategic point for accommodation.
