One of Cape Verde's most popular islands, Boa Vista, with its long, white-sand beaches, has its own airport on the western edge in the town of Rabil. It is called "Aristides Pereira".
Most of the traffic is handled by charter flights from Europe, while Boa Vista has regular year-round connections only with the other Cape Verdean islands and Lisbon.

The very small terminal is built in an interesting design and at first glance can be mistaken for historic walls. The airport is really small and there is no problem with orientation.
The queues for passport control upon arrival usually take up to 30 minutes.
Other international airports can be found on other islands.
