Transportation from Belgrade Airport

Belgrade

The airport is connected to the centre of Belgrade by two bus lines A1 and 72. Line 600 runs to the main train station and line 607 to the eastern part of Novi Beograd.

There is no rail link to the airport, and long-distance buses do not stop at the terminal.

City buses

All public buses stop directly in front of the central arrivals hall. There is no information or ticket machines at the bus stop.

Fares vary for the A1 express bus and for regular buses on lines 72 and 600 or 607.

Line A1 (centre)

The A1 express line has a mix of regular buses and minibuses. With one stop "Fontana" in the Novi Beograd area, it goes to the centre to the terminus Trg Slavija.

  • Travel time - 35 minutes
  • Last bus from the airport - 20:00

You will pay the fare only in cash inside the bus and no Belgrade public transport tickets (neither day or weekly) are valid on the line.

Line 72 (centre)

Line 72 is included in the regular network of public transport lines and all types of tickets are valid on it. The journey to the centre is slower than on line A1, as it stops at many places in the Novi Beograd and Surčin area.

Bus 72 terminates at Zeleni Venac Square in the centre.

  • Price - 50 rsd for 90 minutes / 120 rsd for 1 calendar day (not 24 hours)
  • Frequency - 35 to 40 minutes
  • Travel time - 45 minutes
  • Last bus from the airport - 0:00
  • First bus to the airport - 4:00

You can't buy a paper ticket anywhere at the airport (these can only be bought at a limited number of locations in the centre: bgnaplata.rs/prodajna-mesta) and you can't buy a ticket in the driver's cab.

If you don't have a Serbian sim-card, the only option is to buy a ticket via the Beograd Plus mobile app (Google Play / App Store). You need an internet connection to pay for the ticket.

If you have a Serbian sim card, you can buy the ticket via sms-ticket. On the belgrade.plus website, just click on the type of ticket you want and you will automatically receive a pre-populated sms message.

Night lines

There are no buses to the airport between midnight and 4am.

Taxi

No mobile apps such as Uber or Bolt operate at the airport. You can only use regular taxis.

Although the situation has improved significantly in recent years, you can still encounter very dishonest behaviour from taxi drivers, overcharging up to 10 times by adding 0 to the final amount.

The surest way is to order a taxi at the kiosk in the arrivals hall, where you will be given a voucher with the price on it. You pay the taxi driver when you arrive. Payment can only be made in cash.

  • Novi Beograd - 2 500 rsd

Car rental

Many internationally known car rental companies have counters at the airport.

Rent a car if you want to explore the Serbian countryside, where public transport doesn't go very often.

Car rental prices at Belgrade Airport start at around 80 eur.
