The airport of Denmark's second largest city is located near Tirstrup, less than 20 km northeast of the centre of Aarhus. It serves mainly regional traffic to Copenhagen, Norway, Sweden, Poland and summer holiday destinations.
Aarhus Airport is one of the smallest airports, but it is modern and very well equipped. However, due to the relatively long distance from the centre of Aarhus and the very few routes, Billund Airport is much more used in the central Denmark region.
The single terminal serves all departures and arrivals and is extremely well laid out.
