Virgin Australia baggage

Virgin Australia allows the carriage of hand luggage + 1 personal item on all fares.
The number of bags checked depends on the fare purchased.
Carry-on baggage
Passengers on all economy class fares have a choice of two basic options to take on board:
- 1 cabin bag of 56 cm x 35 cm x 23 cm up to 7 kg + 1 small personal item
- 2 cabin bags, each with a maximum size of 48 cm x 34 cm x 23 cm, up to a total of 7 kg + 1 small personal item
The personal item must fit under the seat in front of you and includes the following options:
- Laptop bag
- Women's handbag
- Coat, blanket
- Camera
- Bag from the store duty free
- Bag with baby food and drink for the flight
- Foldable Stroller

Checked Baggage
The number and weight of free checked baggage depends on the fare class purchased.
- Lite - No checked baggage
- Choice - 1 piece up to 23 kg
- Select Flex - 1 piece up to 23 kg
- Business - 2 pieces of 32 kg each
If you wish to travel with checked baggage, it is always worthwhile to select the more expensive "Choice" fare by approximately 25 aud to 30 aud.
If you would like to add your checked baggage to the "Lite" fare, you will pay 70 aud.
Baggage for children
Infants under 2 years old are allowed 3 of the following items free of charge on Virgin Australia:
- Stroller
- Portable cot
- Baby car seat
- Baby capsule

Good morning, I am buying 4 tickets for Sydney > Alice springs on July 28th with economy fare. For luggage I have the possibility to bring one hand luggage (7 kg) and one in the hold 23 kg, Is this correct?
