Check-in for a Trans Maldivian Airways flight takes place almost immediately upon arrival from an international flight.

The whole process involves several short steps from check-in at the international terminal, moving to the seaplane terminal, waiting for the flight in the airport lounge and then boarding the seaplane itself at the docks.

Check-in desk

Upon exiting the airport, the resort staff will be waiting to tell you where you're going and conduct the entire check-in process for you.

If you are travelling independently, just head to the right of the gate where the airline check-in desk is located.

Transfer to the seaplane terminal

After checking in, you will be transferred by bus to the more distant seaplane terminal. Transfer on foot is not possible.

Airport Lounge

The entire seaplane terminal has about 2 or 3 floors with several airport lounges.

All passengers have access to these and can wait for departure in comfortable seats overlooking the tarmac and enjoy drinks, light snacks or fruit.

Boarding the seaplane

Before boarding, you will be briefed by staff and escorted to the departure gate where you will wait for final boarding.
