SpiceJet check-in

SpiceJet is one of the carriers that allow free check-in at the airport.
Check-in at the airport
Check-in at the airport counter is free of charge for SpiceJet.
Counter opening and closing times are as follows:
- 3 hours before departure, the counter opens
- 60 minutes before departure, the counter closes
At selected airports you can check-in via a self-service kiosk, which allows you to avoid queues if you are travelling with hand luggage only.
You can only go through security and passport control at Indian airports once check-in for your flight starts, which is no later than 4 hours before an international flight and 3 hours before a domestic flight. You will not be allowed through immigration before then.
Which terminals are used for check-in?
Large Indian and international airports usually have multiple terminals. SpiceJet uses the following buildings:
Online check-in
You can check-in online in the comfort of your home from the time you purchase your ticket up to 60 minutes before departure via spicejet.com.
Online check-in is also available via the SpiceJet mobile app (Google Play / App Store), where you enter your booking number and present a QR code on your mobile phone at the airport.
If you are travelling with hand luggage only, you do not need to visit the airport counter at all. Proceed straight to security and passport control.
Selecting a seat (seating)
Do you want a window seat or, on a long flight, do you prefer an aisle seat so you can stretch out undisturbed at any time?
The cheapest "SpiceSaver" fare does not include seat selection. You can choose your seat during the booking process from 300 inr, but this is not worthwhile, because the second cheapest fare "SpiceFlex" already includes seat selection for free. The price difference between the "SpiceSaver" and "SpiceFlex" fares is always less than the seat selection fee.
