Hainan Airlines is China's largest private airline and is rated 5*, the highest rating by international rating agency Skytrax. In reality, however, it is an ordinary airline that is not out of the ordinary. As the name suggests, the company is headquartered on Hainan Island in southern China, but its largest bases are in Beijing and Xi'an.
