Hand luggage

Citilink only allows 1 piece of cabin baggage and no other personal items such as laptop bag, handbags or umbrella are officially allowed.

The permitted dimensions of hand luggage vary according to the type of aircraft you are flying on, which is indicated when you purchase your ticket:

  • 56 x 36 x 23 cm - Airbus A320, Airbus A330
  • 41 x 34 x 17 cm - ATR72

The maximum cabin baggage weight is 7 kg for both aircraft types and if you check in at the airport, hand luggage is often weighed (online check-in significantly reduces this risk).

If you bring a larger or heavier carry-on bag to the departure gate, it will be checked into the hold for a fee 250 000 idr for domestic flights or 20 usd for international flights.

Checked baggage

Checked baggage in the cargo hold is currently free on all fares and on all domestic routes.

As with hand luggage, the maximum weight varies depending on the type of aircraft you are flying.

  • 20 kg - Airbus A320, Airbus A330
  • 10 kg - ATR72

Exact dimensions for checked baggage are not specified.

On international flights, baggage is not included in the cheapest Basic fare. As the fee for the subsequent addition of baggage is higher than the difference in price between the Basic and Green Eco fares, it is always worth paying the Green Eco fare which includes the 20kg baggage.
