Aer Lingus check-in
You can check in for your Aer Lingus flight and get free boarding passes both online and at the airport.
Check-in at the airport
Check-in at the airport is free for all Aer Lingus passengers. The counters are open as follows depending on the type of flight:
- European flights: 45 minutes to 120 minutes before departure.
- Flights to/from America: 75 minutes to 180 minutes before departure
There are also self-check-in kiosks at Dublin DUB, Cork ORK and Shannon SNN airports where you can quickly and easily check in yourself. Kiosks cannot be used for travel to the USA or if you are travelling with children under 2 years old.
Online check-in
Checking in online is a convenient and quick option. Online check-in is available during the following timeframe:
- 48 hours to 4.5 hours prior to departure when purchasing a fare SAVER
- 15 days to 4.5 hours before departure when purchasing PLUS / ADVANTAGE fares or SAVER fares with the purchase of a specific seat
For travel to America, check-in is available 24 hours to 90 minutes before the flight.
You do not need to print your boarding pass, just a legible QR code to show with your travel document at the airport.
You can check in your luggage without queuing at the baggage drop-off counter.

I would like to ask if it is possible to check in online more than 48 hours in advance on a flight from Dublin to Bilbao.
If you pay for seat selection does it allow you to do this?
The second question is that we have paid for the "no check in" option and I see that in that case the baggage allowance is 10 Kg, but what size does it have to be?

Hi, Patricia. Yes, if you pay for your seat selection, check-in is available 15 days before departure.
