As the name suggests, Sky Garden is a park in the clouds. This public garden can be found on the top three floors of the modern 2014 skyscraper at 20 Fenchurch Street.

Indoor garden with a view

The Sky Garden is a truly original design for the top floors of a skyscraper and one of the most popular viewpoints in London.

With a bit of exaggeration, it can be said that it is an exotic greenhouse botanical garden with plants mostly from the Mediterranean and South Africa. Spread across a huge open hall on the 36th floor at a height of 140 metres, you can walk freely through the garden on paths and enjoy 360° views in all directions.

With a fully glazed shell throughout the building and one outdoor terrace, you really do enjoy one of the best views of London.

As well as a large indoor garden, viewing paths and an outdoor terrace, Sky Garden offers a range of restaurants, bars and cafes that are among the most popular in the city.

In addition, you can practice yoga from 6:30am at sunrise. The cost of the lesson is 10 gbp.

Free entry and booking

Entrance to the Sky Garden is free.

However, you still need to book a ticket for a specific time in advance, as the garden is usually full up to 14 days in advance. Book your tickets on the official website skygarden.london.

The Sky Garden is open to the public at the following times:

  • Monday - Friday: 10:00 - 15:45
  • Weekends and public holidays: 11:00 - 19:45

After these times, only restaurant and bar guests have access to the Sky Garden. We definitely recommend making a table reservation online, especially for evening times, a table reservation is practically a must.

The "Walkie-Talkie" skyscraper

Sky Garden is housed in one of the iconic high-rise buildings of modern London. Over 160 metres tall, the skyscraper's rounded shape with its distinctive antennae has earned it the nickname "Walkie-Talkie", an English colloquial term for a portable radio.

Construction was completed in 2014 and the Sky Garden itself opened in 2015. The official name of the building is "The Fenchurch Building" or also 20 Fenchurch Street after the address it is located at.
