Kata Noi Beach is adjacent to Kata Resort, which is a 15-minute walk away.
Compared to its parent resort, Kata Noi is considerably quieter and also a bit more photogenic. Kata Noi is the best place on the west coast of Phuket if you're looking for a large enough beach with facilities, but in a very quiet environment.

Beaches and swimming
Kata Noi is roughly 700 metres long and covered in very fine white sand.
In the central part of the beach there are several sunbed and umbrella rental shops as well as various water sports on offer. In general, however, the environment is much quieter than on the main Kata beach.
The entrance to the water is safe and gradual, and there are photogenic rocks on the sides of the beach that create quiet coves suitable for snorkelling by complete beginners and children.
Toilets (10 thb) with showers (20 thb) are also available.
There is no longer a main road around Kata Noi, only a local street separated from the beach by a wall and a belt of trees. There are several restaurants and street eateries.

How to get to Kata Noi?
There is no public transport directly to Kata Noi beach, only taxis and of course Bolt or Grab.
The nearest bus and songthaew stops are in the main resort of Kata on its southern edge.
From there you have to walk along the street. There is a steep climb first and then a flight of steps down to the beach. However, the distance is very short (less than 1 km), so even untrained travellers can make the journey.
